Well it was another interesting week in London when the fashion circus rolled into town. As always we were ever present at menswear day, and there certainly were a few flashes of brilliance floating around Somerset House. Our favorites of the day are displayed above in all their glory, enjoy.
Go Go Go Goti. We are loving these hand made jewelery pieces by Riccardo Goti. His mix of metal, silver, brass and, well, belt buckles is something to marvel. To be honest anyone that can do actually interesting cuff links like these gets our vote!
So after much hype and 'founding member marketing plans' Mr Porter is now open for business. There are lots of nice touches within the site, and we particulary like the 'Essentials' recommendations. Specifically the mention of wrist wear alongside watches (a trend we have noticed for some time). Maketh-The-Man has obviously been awaiting the big reveal to see what accessories we could buy and what did we find......Well a distinct lack of them! Even after the mention of wrist wear, and there are only 10 available to buy on the site! Come on Mr Porter, you can do better than that. Dont make us tell Mrs Porter how bad a boy you have been.
We love necks at Maketh-The-Man, and there is no better accessory to adorn a neck than a classic bow tie. So we were delighted to find Emma Ashford has devoted her work to reinventing this symbolic accessory.
River Island have launched their new ready to wear accessory range for this summer, but with a Moroccan feel to it. The accessories are intended to mix and match with any outfit, so you can look fabulous when riding a camel through the Sahara.
Vintage Cazal Sunglasses Well if we are wearing some vintage specs from ZONE7STYLE, then we would happily do so. ZONE7STYLE are purveyors of Deadstock products from the late 70s through to the 90s, nice!
Oh dom, dom, dom we do like your jewellery. Dominic Jones brings us nature inspired pieces that would look stunning on anyone. This will be why fashion insiders are saying he is their cult choice of accessory.
Sometimes at Maketh-The-Man we stand at an angle, or as some would say a bit of a slant. Well with equal angled challenges we present BEVEL, a New York hand crafted accessory brand that is dark and distressed at its very heart but with a slightly angled story.
Eddie Borgo fuses a number of different themes together, including rock 'n' roll, and the spirit of NYC. We are particulary loving his razor blade collection. If only we could do such magical things with our Wilkinson Sword.
